Pictographic Chinese Calligraphy (1) Fly - 飛

Chinese character is from the following Shell Bone script character:



It is a picture of bird. Ancient Chinese used "Bird" to indicate the "Fly".




As time past, the character changed to




Which is traditional Chinese, one 升 (Rise, or Rising), plus two birds 

Then, simplified to 


Which is only a bird left, but it is like flying.

I modified it to 



Which is a flying bird in the sky. It is a combination of character and picture. I called it as picto-calligraphy.
